She was chosen from a shortlist of over 40 candidates for the Woman of Achievement award and won a commendation for making a success of her daily business venture. The awards, sponsored by the Manchester Evening News and Granada Television, are a celebration of the north west’s most remarkable women and pay tribute to their drive and dedication to success.

Carol was also n the top 100 leading entrepreneurs, acc rding to the north west’s Business Entrepreneur magazine. She is now focusing her entrepreneurial skills in a different direction - although a devotee of franchising, all her latest ventures will take advantage of her knowledge in this field.
