The Filta Group fryer management franchise opportunity is expanding both in the uk and abroad

The Filta Group has had an excellent start to the year, having just completed its third training course of 2011.

The latest course has seen the launch of 43-year-old Dinesh Mangal’s business. From Milton Keynes, he previously worked for a major cash and carry company.

Dinesh had been following the significant price increases in cooking oils since last year and, as a result, immediately saw the value of investing in a FiltaFry Plus franchise when he met the team at the Milton Keynes franchise show in January. In addition, Dinesh has also been awarded the first FiltaFry Scholarship, which is given to individuals who may require financial help to achieve their franchise goal.

RIGHT TIME

Sandy Wilson, 50 and from Edinburgh, was made redundant at the end of February and decided it was the right time for him to set up his own business and reinvest his money in a franchise. He is planning to develop his Edinburgh Central and Edinburgh East territory over the next 12 months and his goal is to have two vans in operation by 2012.

Originally from South Africa, 62-year-old Les Defesche settled in Scotland some years ago and had been running guided tours in Edinburgh. However, the FiltaFry Plus franchise for Edinburgh West and Falkirk became available, and with an existing turnover of over £50,000 per year Les saw the opportunity and snapped it up. He’s also aiming to put a second van on the road and has plans for his son to join the business.

MASTER FRANCHISEES

Gabor Szabo from Hungary joined The Filta Group’s March course and has now returned to Hungary to complete his in-field training. Gabor, who has a catering services background, recently purchased the master licence for Hungary and is planning a multi-van operation, starting in Budapest, with a view to expanding into neighbouring countries within the next two years.

This year has also seen new master franchisees launch in Bulgaria and Greece.

The Filta Group believes that increased interest in its products is due to the specialist nature of its business concepts, as well as their abilities to offer people cost savings while improving service levels and remaining environmentally friendly at the same time.
