Concept Building Solutions UK is one of the pioneers of buildings insurance claims management and the longest standing subsidiary of the Service Solutions Group.

Established in 2002 as a franchise organisation, Concept Building Solutions became one of the fastest growing franchisors over the next two years, developing a national franchise network of insurance claims managers. By late 2004 Concept was considered a market leader in its industry and had over 100 franchisees servicing the UK.

Following private equity investment in 2008, the Service Solutions Group launched and developed a number of additional companies covering a variety of fields. Companies in the Group include Tradesmen Solutions, Service Solutions Direct, Local Assist and Remedial Solutions, which together provide a range of services from insurance claims management to retail installations and emergency policy provision. The range of companies within the group complement one another and give Concept franchisees an opportunity to work within a variety of sectors for an array of clients that span from private individuals to blue chip corporations.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN WITH SERVICE SOLUTIONS GROUP?

I joined Concept in 2001 when we were piloting the franchise and have enjoyed being part of the group ever since.

WHAT COMPANIES AND SERVICES DOES SERVICE SOLUTIONS GROUP CONSIST OF?

Concept Building Solutions, the indirect insurance claims management and repair franchise network, provides a range of services that include:
• Broker Solutions - insurance claims and repairs for independent insurance brokers.
• Agent Solutions - insurance claims and repairs, planned maintenance for letting agents and landlords.
• Remedial Solutions - commercial and domestic damp proofing, timber treatment and condensation control.
• Tradesmen Solutions - national retail installation and home improvement service and the UK’s largest bathroom installer, working with clients such as Homebase, Bathstore and B&Q.
• Local Assist - insurance policy provision, emergency 24/7 call handling and repairs service, planned works and inspections and servicing.
• Service Solutions Direct - direct insurance surveying and claims validation, claim dispute resolutions, party wall surveying and tender appraisals.

WHAT WAS THE THOUGHT PROCESS FOR DEVELOPING THE GROUP IN THIS WAY?

Over the years the group has organically grown and diversified as new opportunities presented themselves. Each member of the group utilises the same contractor base of experienced, qualified contractors, which are vetted and accredited centrally. This strong contractor base, coupled with the technical knowledge and expertise at head office, allows the group to provide a range of services to a varied client base. Our franchise network profits from being able to receive work from all companies in the group with the support and back-up from head office.
