accreditation programme at its fifth annual conference recently
SMART repairs are often considered the poor relation of body-work repairs due to the inconsistencies of technicians across the country. Revive! UK plans to change the perception of the company’s SMART repair network through a professional approach to its workmanship and a keen focus on customer service.
An accreditation programme was launched at the recent Revive! annual conference and the award winners are testament to the quality and professionalism seen throughout the Revive! business.
CONFERENCE
The Revive! annual conference is an opportunity for the company’s franchisees to meet as a team and discuss mutual issues, as well as network and share best practice. The day is rounded off with a gala dinner and the presentation of awards to franchisees who have produced outstanding service or a significant achievement during the year. This year’s conference agenda included topics such as ‘Growing in a recession’ and had a focus on the accreditation programme that is driving the technical side of the Revive! business to another level.
Revive! UK managing director, Mark Llewellyn, explains the professionalism of the Revive! network and the plans to develop a stronger technical base with the accreditation programme. “Technically our current network is much stronger than most of the SMART repairers out there,” he says. “In our recognised accreditation programme we are looking to move even further ahead and the plans we have will differentiate the professionalism of the Revive! network, in some cases quite significantly.
“The recognised quality of a Revive! SMART repair is the key factor that separates us from most SMART repairers. Not only do we use the highest quality products, but we also train our technicians until they are able to achieve the technical standards we require from their first day. This isn’t through using fancy gadgets or gimmicks, or indeed slick sales presentations - we have direct relationships with the big paint manufacturers and our technicians put in the hard work during a tough technical training school, which will ultimately reap rewards when they are faced with some of the more challenging jobs.
“The accreditation programme is not just focused on technical development, as the two key areas are quality workmanship and customer service. I think that it is fair to say that all our winners showed excellent levels in both of these areas.”
The winners of the main awards were Paul Brimelow for an Outstanding Sales achievement; Byron Lindsay: Outstanding Customer Service; Rob Thorpe: Most Improved; and Dan Normanton (Trafford), who took the main award of the evening - Franchisee of the Year.
Says Mark: “Dan in particular has clearly followed the Revive! business model, showing excellent technical ability, but also growing a significant multi-van business in a short space of time. Only two years ago Dan was an employee of a neighbouring franchise and now has branched out on his own and really developed a strong business. Dan feels that he has been able to build his business with the support of the Revive! head office, who assist significantly with the areas that he would normally struggle.”
Says Dan Normanton: “It’s a great business and I would never have been able to achieve what I have without Revive! as they, and my wife Nat, help with all the administration that allows me to focus on the sales and marketing of the business - which is my strength.”
