Ovenclean
More Britons than ever are getting professionals to clean their household ovens, while surveys reveal that cleaning the oven is the domestic chore people hate most. Their reluctance to do this task has led to a boom for Ovenclean Limited. In some parts of the country one in five households no longer clean their own ovens, instead calling in Ovenclean to do the job.
It is not uncommon for untrained householders to take up to a day to do a less effective clean than an Ovenclean operative can achieve in less than two hours.
Jeremy Johnson, Ovenclean’s Franchise Director, says: “We are experiencing our most exciting period of growth since Ovenclean’s inception in the early 1990s and puts us on target for one million cleans a year by the end of the decade.”
EXPANSION PLAN
With growing demand for the service, Ovenclean is operating a two-pronged expansion plan – encouraging and supporting existing franchisees in the growth of their business to multi-van operations and recruiting new franchisees who wish to benefit from owning a flexible, profitable business at the leading edge of industry.
Oven Clean’s franchisees have included ex-military personnel, senior police officers, IT contractors, accountants, bank managers, an airline pilot, home builders, window cleaners, sales executives, factory workers and operators of existing businesses who see the advantages of joining this vibrant industry.
Bryan Goozee, Oven Clean’s managing director and founder, says: “Oven Clean has been built on solid foundations. We were the first oven cleaning company incorporated in the UK, the first oven cleaning company to provide a totally nontoxic, non-caustic and non-solvent-based cleaning process offering the safest environmentally friendly solution to the cleaning of domestic ovens and the only company to have operated a 12-van company operation and nine pilot franchisees - all of which were profitable before we launched our national recruitment campaign.”
Jeremy Johnson continues: “With such solid foundations and the enthusiasm and efforts of our franchisees, success has been assured and it is no surprise that the brand is established and maintains it’s market leading status. The largest support team of any oven cleaning company also assures the mutual success of the brand and franchise network.
“Oven Clean is an open book. We invite prospective franchisees to our head office where a presentation of the business and demonstration of the system are available. We also encourage prospective franchisees to ask the questions that are important to themselves individually in carrying out their due diligence before starting their new business and experiencing the rewards an Oven Clean franchise can bring.
“Don’t just take our word for it, listen to what our franchisees say.”
FRANCHISEES
Explain Anthony and Stephanie Snookes, based in the West Midlands: “We have run an Oven Clean franchise for over two years. The business is growing at a steady rate, the system that Oven clean use to actually clean ovens is second to none, as is their back-up and support.”
Michael Bailey of High Wycombe says: “I am now in my fifth year as a franchisee of Oven Clean. My personal opinion of the business is a positive one. I have expanded over the past five years and have another three vans cleaning ovens. At present, I have a very sound customer base that took me about 18 months to establish.”
Says Watford-based Tim Hopkins: “From my experience, I can confirm if the operator follows the procedures and marketing techniques as shown by Oven Clean there is no reason why they should not be running a profitable business within a relatively short space of time.” David Lifton of Somerset says: “I am please to say that, having spent 25 years in the finance industry, the move to a franchise of any sort was a daunting shake up to my thoughts and then current experiences.
“The company I chose appeared to be relaxed, had the right products and expertise in order for me to have a complete change of career and continue to have an income that would grow in due course to give me a greater income.
“In the first four weeks of business I trebled my projections. I have not looked back since. My aim was never to fall below an income of £500 per week, which I am happy to confirm I never have. All I can say is that I am delighted at joining the Oven Clean team and wish I had done so about four or five years ago as I would now be enjoying a very substantial income.”
